FluideMinds, a visionary youth empowerment initiative of the FutureUp Empowerment Foundation, successfully hosted its inaugural “Adapt & Thrive” Campus Summit at the University of Abuja on July 3, 2025.
With over 230 students in attendance, the event surpassed registration expectations and marked a major milestone in FluideMinds’ mission to equip young Nigerians with the skills, mindset, and tools needed to thrive in the fast-evolving digital economy.
Purpose of the Summit
The “Adapt & Thrive” Campus Summit was designed to challenge and inspire Nigerian students to take charge of their futures by embracing technology-driven, sustainable career paths.
FluideMinds recognizes a hard truth: a degree alone is no longer enough. To succeed in today’s world, youth must build adaptability, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
At a time when youth unemployment remains a critical concern—especially across Africa—the summit tackled this issue head-on, offering students not just inspiration but practical solutions.
Instead of traditional lectures, the event created a vibrant, interactive platform where students could learn from industry leaders, explore career pathways, and connect to future-forward opportunities.
Key Highlights
Our goal was to spark a realization that a degree is a starting point, not a destination. The energy in that hall confirmed our belief: Nigerian youth are ready and eager to develop the adaptive skills needed to thrive,” — Destiny Ajakaiye, Founder of FluideMinds, during his keynote, “Your Degree Is Not Enough.”
He continued,
The new currency in the world of work is not your static certificate, but your dynamic ability to adapt. Your superpower is not in what you know, but how you learn.
The summit featured a powerful lineup of speakers and panellists who shared real-world strategies for navigating the digital era:
- Mr. Charles Onuoha, CEO of Syspoint Solutions Consult Ltd., delivered an impactful keynote titled “Personal Development Strategies for Building Sustainable Tech Skills” and joined the panel discussion on “How to Build a Future-Proof Career and Thrive in the Age of AI: A Nigerian Perspective.”
- Miss Amaugo Peace, a Product & Growth Marketer known for scaling digital tools and launching impactful campaigns, offered rich insights on storytelling, visibility, and the role of creativity in today’s competitive marketplace.
During the main panel session, students were exposed to practical frameworks for thriving in the AI age, from upskilling and storytelling to digital entrepreneurship and mindset transformation.

Voices from the Students
One student shared:
I finally thought about how to make money and realized it’s possible, especially with how social media and technology are changing the world. Today’s FluideMinds program reminded me of this. Thanks to Mr. Charles and the other speakers, I’m excited to start using my creativity to earn, even as a teenager.
