The Spark
FluideMinds emerged from a moment of clarity during the global technological acceleration of the early 2020s. As artificial intelligence tools became more mainstream and automation continued to reshape industries, the founders of FutureUp Empowerment Foundation identified a critical gap in how Nigerian youth were prepared for this rapidly changing landscape.
The insight was clear: success in the future of work would require not just technical prowess but an entirely new mindset—what we now call a “Fluid Mind.”
The Journey
The concept emerged from extensive research and discussions with stakeholders across Nigeria’s educational and technological ecosystem. This involved thorough surveys with recent graduates, who expressed anxiety about keeping up with technological change.
These insights led to the development of FluideMinds’ distinctive dual-track approach, which combines technical skill development with psychological readiness training.
The Vision Takes Form
In early 2024, FutureUp Empowerment Foundation formally established FluideMinds as its flagship initiative. The name itself tells our story: “Fluide” from the French word meaning capable of flowing and changing shape, combined with “Minds” to emphasize our focus on cognitive and psychological development.

To empower Nigerian youth to thrive in a rapidly changing world by fostering growth mindset, adaptability, and resilience through structured learning, a supportive community, and the essential skills necessary to navigate the evolving global economy.
